Doing our homework on major election law bill
11/13/2009
The major election reform bill in the Ohio House grew from 252 pages to 804 pages on Tuesday as it underwent amending in committee, after which it was recommended for passage by a thin 7-6 vote. The amended version was released today by the House's Clerk's Office.
Now we can get to work on reading and better understanding this controversial set of proposals. I'm posting a number of tools aimed at assisting interested citizens in reviewing it.
HB 260 was heavily amended in committee. You can down a pdf version of the 804-page bill here. At this point no analysis of the bill has been released. It is expected that this bill will be up for a vote before the full Ohio House on Wednesday, November 18 at 1:30 PM.
