Our area Tea Party Scene
8/17/2009
It's time to pass on some information about activities focused on reconnecting our representative government with we, the average citizens looking for leaner, less taxing and less spending government.
Let me point you to a number of web sites that help connect us to local organizations and events:
- Wooster 9.12 Project and their MeetUp Site
From their web site:
"We are a local group of Republicans, Democrats and Independents who are frustrated with the lack of fiscal restraint, the trampling of the Constitution and the loss of vision that our Founding Fathers had for this great Nation. If this is how you feel... please join us!
This is a website where we will help educate each other. We want to learn from America's Founders, discuss ideas in an open forum, talk about the policies that our government is making and petition our congressmen and senators about those policies. We want a place to talk, where we're not judged and everyone's opinion is valued...... A Republic!
Feel free to add content, whether it's something you read or heard.... after all, this is your site.. your home base. This is where you can come for information, dialog and to stay in touch with other like-minded individuals." - Akron Tea Party tomorrow:

From their web site:
"Participate in our first national Tea Party at America's Capitol, in Washington, D. C. Bus leaves on Friday evening, September 11, at 11:00 and returns early Sunday morning on September 13. This will allow everyone to sleep while traveling and avoid Washington's expensive hotel fees. Cost: $75.00 per person. Depending on how far away the bus has to park, you may need about $9.00 extra to buy an all day transit pass. Contact Bonnie at 419-687-6761. We need to know ASAP."
