Ron Amstutz sworn in as state representative of the First House District

State Rep. Ron Amstutz (R-Wooster) was recently sworn in as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives for the 130th General Assembly. He represents the First Ohio House District, which consists of Wayne County.

“I am deeply honored to represent the citizens of Wayne County in this new two-year legislative session,” Amstutz said. “I’m looking forward to working to improve how we fund our schools in Ohio, to strengthen our economy by further reforming our tax laws, and to help our citizens improve their quality of life.”

Amstutz has served more than three decades in both the Ohio House and the Ohio Senate. During the last General Assembly he chaired the House Finance and Appropriations Committee and carried the budget bill which successfully filled an $8 billion structural deficit without raising taxes on Ohioans.
